Meet Melanie Sutcliffe – Administration Assistant

Tell us about yourself and your past work history

I am from Sydney, lived in Canberra for 9 years and have lived in Toowoomba for 8 years. I have 2 sons aged 9 and 11. My medical administration career has taken me from working in busy emergency department to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

What are some of your main career achievements?

My two major achievements in my career have been working with professors to set the FRACP exams and working for John Howard at the Lodge when he was a Prime Minister.

What is your passion with what you do?

My passion is connecting with people and giving them the assurance of competence and confidence. I strive for excellence in organisation.

What is your background and relevant experience?

My background has been Medical Administration from the most part; however, I have worked in childcare, defence, agriculture and sales. I have recently had 2 years experience in another Podiatrist clinic.

What your interest/hobbies?

My hobbies include a lot of outdoor activities, such as hiking and swimming. Weekends are spent at Rugby with my lads. Reading is my downtime.
