Getting to Know Daniel Lau
I have been in Toowoomba/Westbrook for 18 years so no issues with settling in.
I chose podiatry because I completed a biomedical science degree but there wasn’t much funding in sciences and I wasn’t interested in researching in laboratories so I immediately went into podiatry. Podiatry has a stable work environment with good job prospects. Also my family and I have our own foot issues so it was interesting to study.
I like to cook on my days off for my family. My signature dish is Vegetarian Fettuccine Alfredo. Cook the fettuccine according to the packet instructions. In a separate pan, add in basil paste, once simmering, add mushrooms, and asparagus, cook for a few minutes, then add thickened cream and cook till the cream becomes thickened. Add spinach. Drain the pasta and incorporate it with the sauce. Enjoy!
With my spare time I like to go to the gym (pic), watch NBA/NFL and just relax.
I was born in Portland, Victoria, spent a year there, moved to Ayr for a year, then spent a few years in Brisbane before moving to Toowoomba for a few years before moving out to Westbrook where I have been ever since.
